Noise Management at Wiltshire Throwback Festival (WTF25!)

At Jarboom, we are committed to ensuring that the Wiltshire Throwback Festival (WTF25!) at Oakfield Stadium is enjoyable for attendees while showing respect for our local community. To this end, we’ve put in place a robust Noise Management Plan developed by professional consultants, Dragonfly Environmental Consulting Ltd., to minimise disruption.

Key Measures in Place

  • Noise Limits: Music noise levels will not exceed 65dB(A) (averaged over 15 minutes) at nearby residential properties during the event’s operating hours:

    • Friday, June 20: 4:00 PM – 11:00 PM

    • Saturday, June 21: 1:00 PM – 11:00 PM
All amplified music will end by 11:00 PM.

  • Monitoring & Compliance:

    • Continuous real-time monitoring will be carried out using professional sound level meters positioned near the most affected residential areas.

    • Immediate action will be taken to reduce volume if levels approach or exceed permitted thresholds.

  • Proactive Communication:

    • Residents in surrounding areas will receive an advance letter drop including event timings and sound check details.

    • A dedicated Community Hotline and email address will be available throughout the event for any concerns:

      • 📞 Hotline: +44 7424 680337

      • 📧 Email: info@wtflive.co.uk

    • Contact details will also be included in pre-event communications and available on our website.

  • Complaint Response Procedure:

    • Any noise complaints will be investigated promptly.

    • A noise consultant will visit the complainant’s location (with permission) and assess sound levels.

    • Adjustments will be made to on-site sound systems if noise exceeds acceptable limits.

    • All complaints will be logged and reviewed with Wiltshire Council following the event.

  • Accountability:

    • Dragonfly Consulting will have authority to instruct immediate changes to noise levels, including switching off amplified music if necessary.

    • Non-compliance by staff or contractors with noise control instructions may result in removal from the event.

We value our local residents and strive to strike a fair balance between festival enjoyment and community comfort. If you have any questions or feedback before, during, or after the event, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
