Welcome to Wiltshire Throwback Festival 2026 (WTF26!).

No accreditation means no access to restricted or operational areas.

Build Dates: 23–25 June 2026
Live Dates: 26–27 June 2026

2. Health & Safety

Safety is everyone’s responsibility at WTF26!

All personnel must work in accordance with the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974, event risk assessments and site rules. Contractors are expected to carry out dynamic risk assessments before commencing work and stop work immediately if unsafe conditions arise.

PPE must be worn where required, including hi-vis clothing, safety footwear, helmets, gloves and hearing protection where applicable.

All incidents, accidents, near misses and unsafe acts must be reported immediately to Event Control or the Site Office.

Housekeeping is critical. Keep work areas tidy and ensure walkways, fire exits and emergency routes remain clear at all times.

3. Security & Counter Terrorism Awareness

WTF26! operates a comprehensive security operation with SIA staff, CCTV, perimeter fencing and controlled access points.

All contractors are expected to remain vigilant and report suspicious behaviour, unattended items, hostile reconnaissance or unauthorised access immediately.

Counter Terrorism awareness forms part of the event safety strategy. Staff should follow the Run, Hide, Tell principles in the unlikely event of a major incident.

Do not challenge suspicious individuals directly unless trained and authorised to do so. Instead, report concerns immediately via radio or Event Control.

Security procedures are in place for:
• Search lanes
• Accreditation control
• Restricted areas
• Emergency lockdown procedures
• Vehicle access management

4. Prohibited Items

The following items are prohibited onsite unless specifically authorised by Event Management:

• Illegal drugs or psychoactive substances
• Offensive weapons or knives
• Firearms or imitation firearms
• Fireworks, pyrotechnics or explosives

• Any item deemed dangerous by Event Management or Security

Any prohibited items may be confiscated and could result in removal from site or police involvement.

5. Ask for Angela & Safeguarding

WTF26! operates the nationally recognised ‘Ask for Angela’ safeguarding scheme.

Ask for Angela is designed to support anyone who feels vulnerable, unsafe, threatened or uncomfortable. If somebody approaches staff and asks for ‘Angela’, this indicates they require discreet assistance.

All staff and contractors should take safeguarding concerns seriously and immediately notify Security, Welfare or Event Control.

Examples may include:
• Harassment
• Intimidation
• Domestic abuse concerns
• Predatory behaviour
• Vulnerable or distressed individuals

The welfare and safety of staff, artists, contractors and members of the public is a priority at all times.

6. Drug & Alcohol Policy

Drugs and alcohol are strictly prohibited during working hours.

Any contractor or staff member suspected of being under the influence of drugs or alcohol may be removed from site immediately.

WTF26! operates search procedures at entrances and reserves the right to refuse entry, confiscate prohibited substances and involve police where necessary.

Bar staff, security and welfare teams are trained to identify intoxication, substance misuse and vulnerable behaviour.

Any concerns regarding substance misuse onsite should be escalated immediately.

7. Fire Safety

Fire safety is critical across all build, live and breakdown phases.

All contractors must:
• Keep fire lanes and exits clear
• Maintain good housekeeping
• Store fuel safely
• Use suitable electrical equipment
• Avoid overloading circuits
• Ensure generators and LPG equipment are installed safely

Know the location of:
• Fire extinguishers
• Fire points

• Emergency assembly points

Smoking is prohibited in restricted areas and near fuel or generator compounds.

Any fire, smoke, burning smell or electrical issue must be reported immediately.

8. Traffic Management & Vehicle Safety

Vehicle movements onsite present one of the highest risks during event build and breakdown.

All drivers must:
• Follow marshal instructions
• Observe walking pace speed limits
• Use hazard lights where appropriate
• Avoid unnecessary vehicle movements
• Use banksmen when reversing in congested areas

Emergency routes and pedestrian routes must remain clear at all times.

No vehicle movements are permitted in public areas during live event opening times unless authorised by Event Control.

Failure to comply with traffic management procedures may result in removal from site.

9. Working at Height

Working at height must only be carried out by competent and authorised persons.

This includes:
• Stage builds
• Rigging
• Lighting and audio installation
• Banner installation
• Temporary structure work

All ladders, towers and access equipment must be inspected before use.

Suitable fall prevention or protection measures must be implemented where required.

Never work beneath suspended loads and never use unsafe or damaged equipment.

Unsafe work at height activity will result in immediate work stoppage.

10. Manual Handling

Manual handling injuries are one of the most common causes of workplace injury.

Before lifting:
• Assess the load
• Plan the route
• Use mechanical assistance where possible
• Request assistance for heavy or awkward loads

Always lift using correct technique:
• Bend knees
• Keep back straight
• Keep loads close to the body
• Avoid twisting while lifting

Do not attempt to lift items beyond your capability.

11. Staff Welfare & Sun Protection

Welfare facilities, toilets and drinking water are available onsite.

All staff are encouraged to:
• Take regular breaks
• Stay hydrated
• Eat regularly
• Monitor fatigue levels
• Report welfare concerns early

During hot weather:
• Use sunscreen
• Wear suitable clothing
• Take breaks in shaded areas
• Increase hydration

Extreme weather conditions may result in work activities being paused for safety reasons.

12. Staff Parking & Site Rules

Contractor and staff parking areas will be managed by traffic marshals.

Do not:
• Block emergency access routes
• Park on pedestrian walkways
• Leave vehicles in unauthorised areas

All vehicles are parked onsite at owner’s risk.

Please respect local residents, neighbouring businesses and the venue at all times.

Excessive noise, anti-social behaviour, littering or unsafe conduct may result in removal from site.

13. Site Plan & Accreditation Location

The Site Office acts as the main accreditation and contractor check-in point.

All contractors must:
• Report to the Site Office on arrival
• Complete accreditation before work begins
• Receive site-specific updates and instructions
• Wear accreditation passes visibly at all times

Follow all signage, steward instructions and designated pedestrian routes around site.
